Trig / Precalculus

BJU Precalculus Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus is the sixth year math class at Equip Education and covers the concepts covered in Algebra, as well as new topics such as conic sections, polar graphs, matrices, statistics, trigonometry, logarithms, and sequences and series. This class prepares serious student for the study of Calculus and other higher math endeavors.

Worldview B

Understanding the Times Our final worldview class offers a fascinating, comprehensive look at how the tenets of the Christian worldview compares with five major competing worldviews of our day: Islam, Secularism, Marxism, New Spirituality, and Postmodernism.  It is a systematic approach to understand the ideas that rule our world. While the material is expansive, the engaging, easy-to-understand writing style invites you to discover the truths of God—and our world.

Apologia Physics This final science course at Equip has been called the chief of all sciences. Physics studies motion and it is believed that once we figure out the motion of all matter and their interactions then the other sciences will be mere hobbies. As we discover the intricacies of God’s creation, the devoted student will find themselves even more devoted to the One who designed it all to work perfectly together.

American Government Text Preparing students for responsible citizenship, this course spends one semester examining the origins and function of the Government of the United States and another semester examining the theory and practice of economics. At the 12th grade level, students are well prepared to consider great ideas in both political and economic freedom. Both semesters are designed to bring the student to an understanding of the fundamental aspects of both areas of inquiry.

Literature VII

The Republic of Plato Our final literature class juxtaposes the wisdom of God with the wisdom of man. We look at the foundations of Western civilization as we compare the two great cities that have undergirded it: Jerusalem and Athens.

Speech
3:30 - 4:15 pm
Speech Speech is an elective course designed to cultivate and refine the student’s public speaking skills. Students work on writing, memorizing, and delivering the speech of their choice and are encouraged to participate in our speech tournament with students from our other locations.
