Wednesdays at Pines Baptist Church. This information applies to the 2019-2020 academic year. Parents are welcome to purchase teacher manuals in addition to the required materials. We simply ask that students not be given access to teacher manuals. Teachers and times are subject to change up until the beginning of classes.
5th Grade Math
8:30 am - 9:20 am
Saxon 6/5 Saxon Math Homeschool 6/5 teaches math with a spiral approach, which emphasizes incremental development of new material and continuous review of previously taught concepts. This course is designed to help students through the transition between elementary and secondary math, reviewing previously taught concepts and introducing new ones.

All Things Fun and Fascinating Humorous characters and fascinating creatures will help young students enjoy learning to write with structure and style. The Growing with Grammar program is also used.

Amos Fortune This course is designed to nurture a love for reading in each student. Intentionally reading fewer books from award winning authors, our students will work to master each text. Class time is spent discussing what they have read, the larger life messages, and how they interact with our Christian worldview.

Afternoon Program
1:00pm - 3:25 pm
Hardcover Mix Media Pad The afternoon program for 5th graders at Equip is a combination of our Character Curriculum, outdoor PE, and study hall. Students staying with us for the afternoon will get a head start on homework, spend time studying and discussing 4 highlighted character traits for the year, and have a chance to expend some energy in the field!
