Equip Education and Children Battling Cancer have teamed up to do something about childhood cancer. The cooperation exists at several levels in an effort to put the students of Equip to work and deliver a blessing to children (and their families) affected by childhood cancer.
Projects:
Chemo Bag Fundraiser: raising money for families with children affected by cancer
- The classes at Equip Education are striving to meet a goal of $125 per person in funds raised for CBC. Each member of each class takes home a chemo bag to fill with whatever money they are able to raise. The bags are collected once per month. Each class which meets the average per person on May 1, 2012 wins an entire week with no homework! Here are the standings as of 9/1/2011:

Thanksgiving Blessing Bags
- Each class decorates and fills a Thanksgiving Blessing Bag which is delivered to a family in need.
Hospital Visits
Once per month, Equip composes a team of students to visit the Oncology floor at Joe Dimaggio Children's hospital to spend time with children battling cancer. These experiences are a blessing to patients and volunteers alike.
