Code of Conduct, Liability Release, Photo Release

Because Equip Education is a Christian ministry, the following Student Code of Conduct has been written with basic Christian principles included and applies to all students enrolled in Equip Education. At the heart of the code is a desire to honor the Lord Jesus Christ, protect the reputation of the students and school, and provide a godly framework for students to learn and live by.

A Christian Community

Christian Community is one that promotes trust, honesty, respect, and integrity. It is a community where each individual is encouraged and expected to live honorably. It is a community where students do not feel the pressure from their peers to lie or cheat and where students are not ridiculed for their faith in Jesus Christ and for their commitment to live honorably. A Christian Community is more than a commitment to follow a set of rules. It is a commitment to an honorable lifestyle that pleases the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our hope, our desire, our prayer, that this commitment to an honorable lifestyle will far outlive a student’s time at Equip Education. We hope that our students will see the benefits of an honorable lifestyle and allow the basic principles of the Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct to govern all aspects of their lives.

The Honor Code

Having a desire to honor God, my school, my family, and my friends, I willingly commit myself to a daily lifestyle that reflects honesty, integrity, trust, and respect for God, peers, and authorities over me. I willingly acknowledge that this lifestyle does not condone lying, cheating, stealing, or bullying others. Committing myself to the Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct demonstrates my appreciation and respect for Equip Education, my family, my friends, and most of all, Jesus Christ.

Equip Education Code of Conduct

  1. I shall adhere to the Dress Code Policy. T-shirts are required for live Zoom classes. No inappropriate logos or pajamas. I agree to be addressed and to dress in conformance with my biological gender.

  2. I understand that Equip’s standards of social behavior are based on Biblical guidelines rather than those of the culture,  popular media, or peer groups. I shall govern my behavior to hold to these standards.

  3. I realize that I am expected to put forth my best effort in homework, in preparation for quizzes and tests, and in special academic projects since one of the primary reasons for Equip is academic training.

  4. I understand that communication and interaction between parents, students, faculty, and administration is encouraged. Communication should be carried on in a constructive and Biblical manner.

  5. I shall refrain from the following destructive behaviors regarding the use of my words: • Gossiping (repeating information about others that is not my concern or not edifying, whether true or untrue) • Slander (repeating information about others that is untrue) • Mockery (disdainful or disrespectful talk about those in authority, the church, or scriptural principles) • Profanity, Obscenity, Vulgarity, and/or Offensive Slang.

  6. I shall not cheat or plagiarize my homework assignments.

  7. I shall use any and all electronic media (cell phones; cameras; mp3 players; e-mail, internet, and websites, such as facebook.com; etc.) in a manner that is constructive and Biblical. I agree not to surf the internet during Equip classes except for expressly permitted educational purposes. I agree to not take any pictures or screenshots of my classmates during class.

  8. I agree that violence of any kind or behavior in a physically or verbally threatening manner will result in immediate dismissal from the program.

  9. I understand that the sovereignty of Jesus Christ is challenged by various forms of alternative teachings (i.e., occult practices/teachings). I shall not be involved in these areas, and I shall not promote their practice among other students.

  10. I shall maintain Christian standards of courtesy and kindness in the way I treat others. I shall show respect for my fellow students and the staff in my speech, written communications, attitudes, and actions.

  11. I agree to not disrupt class and I shall put forth my best effort in regular and timely attendance.
